After a miserable afternoon and evening of getting over the tomato incident, we woke up feeling mostly better and decided to proceed with the next trial: tree nuts. We began the morning with broccoli sprouts, quinoa, pears, raspberries and pecans. Yum!
We had a busy morning away from home, so before leaving the house we had a snack of raisins and pecans. A late lunch consisted of leftover collard greens, toasted pine nuts and cinnamon butternut squash…I so enjoy this meal! We sipped on a green smoothie throughout the afternoon. Dinner was a big salad with a side of lentils and sauerkraut.
We had a third serving of pecans with dessert…cinnamon apples and pecans. It was so very delicious!
We are thankful to have added pecans back into the mix and hope for no setbacks with them because we just enjoy them so much!
